The Pharisees asked Jesus when the kingdom of God would come. In answer, he said to them, "The kingdom of God does not come in such a way as to be striking to the eye. It will not say, 'Here it is' or 'There it is'. For behold, the kingdom of God is within you." And he said to the disciples, "The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. And it will be said to you, 'Behold, here he is, and behold, there he is. For as the lightning flashes and flashes from one edge of heaven to the other, so will the Son of Man be in His day. But first he must suffer many things and be rejected from this generation.
